Which Level of Addiction Treatment Do You Need?
Not everyone needs the same level of treatment. An assessment helps determine the amount of structure, medical support, and daily care you need. MVP can admit you into one of our outpatient programs or coordinate inpatient placement when residential care is more appropriate.

Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP)
IOP provides structured addiction treatment while allowing you to live at home or in recovery housing. Morning, afternoon, and evening programs make it easier to continue working, attending school, parenting, and managing daily responsibilities.

Partial Hospitalization Programming (PHP)
PHP provides more frequent clinical care and daily structure than IOP without requiring an overnight stay. It may be appropriate when you need intensive support but can safely remain at home or in recovery housing.

Standard Outpatient Treatment (OP)
Outpatient care provides ongoing therapy, medication support, relapse-prevention planning, and recovery guidance with fewer weekly treatment hours. It may serve as an entry point into care or a step down from PHP or IOP.

Inpatient Addiction Treatment Placement
When inpatient treatment is the safest next step, MVP coordinates placement through our Warm Handoff Program. We complete an assessment, identify an appropriate provider, and help you move directly into care. After inpatient treatment, you can return to MVP for outpatient care, recovery housing, peer support, and aftercare if you choose.
